Posh Spice gets a new security system on her Buckinghamshire home, Sporty Spice is having a baby, Scary Spice is having, well, her usual bad hair day, Baby Spice is growing up and Geri Halliwell is getting married.

Well, that completes the interesting news from the former Spice Girls!

Not really!

Geri has been dating the fabulously rich Fabrizio Politi and has obviously made him dizzy with her stories of previous failed relationships, so much so that he is determined to be the one to make her an honest woman of her. Or at least attempt to!

But with the couple only having dated since December, and with the news that they actually became engaged over the Christmas period, there can be very few who would be putting bets on this being the relationship of the year.

But the clue to the success of this union lies in the statement, “There are no immediate plans for marriage as the couple are enjoying their engagement.”

With Geri having been this close to marriage with so many previous failed relationships, does this sound like a, ‘hey wait a moment, not to sure where this is really going’, type of statement?

A brief resume of Geri’s love life:

Moving in on the UK DJ Chris Evans, a little too fast sent the guy running for the hills in 1999. Moving quickly on to her next victim Geri focused her sights on ex Take That band member, Robbie Williams, (he lives in LA now???) Next up on the shopping list of the ex Spice Girl was Damien Warner in 2002, then Jerry O’Connell in 2004. One of Simon Cowell’s an unsuspecting UK Pop Idol winners was then to fall under her spell, Darius Danesh, that lasted a whole 18 months. Sacha Gervais was to have a shorter lived romance with Ginger Spice in the summer of 2005 but it lasted long enough for Geri to become the mother of Gervais’ baby, Bluebell Madonna.

Following that short debacle, while on the Spice Girls’ world tour in 2007, Halliwell teamed up with a dancer, Ivan Velez, but once again, it was doomed.

By August 2007 Geri had taken a leaf out of Carrie Bradshaw’s book and trapped herself a Russian, a billionaire, a toy boy by 9 years, Evgeny Lebedev, whom she was seen snuggling up with in St Tropez.

At one time Geri was associated with George Michael, but we don’t even have to go there, do we?

Ginger is currently having a house (nest?) built in Streatley on Thames, just across the river Thames from George’s house in Goring on Thames.
