Recently known as the ‘spitzer girl’ in Meg Ryan movie, The Women, Eva Mendes has definitely made her way back onto the celebrity A-List and has now earned herself the title of The Most Desirable Woman of 2009 in an online poll for AskMen.com.

Eva, 34, managed to gain poll position in the 9^th annual list of, Top 99 Most Desirable Women leaving last year’s winner, Katherine Heigl and left Megan Fox standing at second place and Sport Illustrated Swimwear model, Marisa Miller, came in at a poor third place.

Three women who one would have thought would be on almost any celebrity list, juts weren’t there this year, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie were not on the list at all, while Britney Spears, who is making a well earned comeback, was back after dropping off the list for a couple of years, and was ranked at No 90.

Just last year, the Ghost Rider star, Eva Mendes, was following the fashion that so many other celebrities have followed over the past few years and spent a few weeks in rehab.

With no particular reason having been cited, as with Kirsten Dunst, Mendes entered the famous Cirque Lodge near Sundance. The lodge had become a talking point when Lindsay Lohan spent time at the treatment facility in 2007.
