Sit over there Mariah, at the back somewhere, with the other…….umm, folks!!!!

No sooner is the first African American (?) president, Barack Obama, sworn in than he’s making enemies among America’s royalty.

Apparently, Mariah Carey was left dumbfounded when she was escorted to the celebrity VIP area where she was expected to actually sit with people like, Jon Bon Jovi, Stevie Wonder, Mary J Blige, Alicia Keys and Bruce Springsteen. Who on earth would inflict that on the over rated diva?

But 38 year old Carey wasn’t alone in her feelings of superiority in the rebuffing of the presidential seating arrangements. Rapper P Diddy was also reported to be miffed when he wasn’t invited to sing for the president when another rapper, Jay-Z was.

After stamping her little feet, Mariah decided to make a huge statement by bailing on the entire event. WOW!

This more than shows not only the bad choice of president but the bad choice of inaugural guests.

Lets see, had John McCain been sworn in as the 44th president of the United States of America, would we really have seen celebrities such as Carrie Underwood, Barry Manilow or Liza Minnelli in contention for a prime position at the inauguration dinner?

I suspect not!
