It may have originally been a Coldplay reject, but that didn’t put the little Antipodean singer, Kylie Minogue, off singing her heart out to raise desperately needed funds for the fight against HIV Aids in Africa this week.

Kylie, 40, joined forces with Coldplay’s front man, Chris Martin, husband of Gwyneth Paltrow, to record Lhuna, for World Aids Day. The track had previously been considered for the band’s latest album, Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends, but was later rejected for its over the top ‘sexy’ feel, which wasn’t thought to be in keeping with the other tracks on the album.

The track is one of a number of songs available as part of a new weekly music service which will benefit HIV-infected people in Africa.
Along with Coldplay and Kylie, U2, The Killers, Elton John, Jay-Z, The Dixie Chicks, The Police, Elvis Costello and Sheryl Crow have also recorded exclusive songs for the charity.
