Justin Timberlake’s Bringin’ Lawsuits Back

Posted under Free for All

The name of the joint is Southern Hospitality, but according to 26-year-old Felipe Ramales it’s anything but. Justin Timberlake’s BBQ & bar which he co-owns with pal Trace Ayala and a few others is under attack, and it ain’t pretty.

E! Online reports that the one-time busboy filed a federal lawsuit on Friday alleging he never received a living wage during the year that he spent wiping tables and mopping floors.

Besides getting supposedly screwed out of “automatic gratuity charges that were applied to tables of six or more,” Ramales professed to having worked more than 40 hours a week, on a regular basis, without seeing a lick of overtime pay.

Hot spot manager Chris Russell dismissed the claims with a wave of his hand, insisting that employees took home every last tip and that the staff members’ salaries were generously above minimum wage.

If in fact the grievances turn out to be accurate, why oh why would you wait nearly six months to file a suit? Those lost wages must have temporarily slipped the dude’s mind and now that he’s hurting, Mr. Timberlake is an easy target. Cheap shot, or IS the Pop star not quite so hospitable?
