Pull up the ladder, I’m okay! That seems to be the thought process behind Daniel Craig’s ridiculous suggestion that the next James Bond should be played by a black actor following the election of Barack Obama as US president.

So after Craig has had the ‘honour’ of being cast in the role for 2 consecutive Bond movies and has raked in a few million in the process, he thinks its okay to ruin the brand by introducing fans to a black 007.

James Bond has never been black. There is no suggestion that he was ever even thought of as being black by the author of the character, Ian Fleming. Isn’t there anything that can just remain Caucasian these days?

Bond creator Fleming would never have wanted his hero to be a black man, that was admitted by Craig when he said, ‘I think he’d probably turn in his grave’.

Clearly after a huge amount of thought and consideration, the multi-million earning actor went on to say, ‘Obama would make a better Bond than his former presidential rival, John McCain’ Obama would be the better Bond because, if he’s true to his word, he’d be willing to quite literally look the enemy in the eye and to toe to toe with them’.

You burk Craig! McCain is now 72 years old, but during his time in Vietnam he saw more action in a week than James Bond has in 22 movies and he’s spent years proving himself, lest see how your guy proves himself before you make rash comments like that!

How to ruin one of the most successful brands in the history of movies, give that job to Daniel Craig, he’s clearly an entrepreneur!

Yeah, let’s have a white Othello and if there’s a remake of the life of Martin Luther King, let’s have a white guy in the role!
