Posted under Free for All & Sarah Jessica Parker & Jennifer Aniston & Kim Cattrall & courtney cox & David Schwimmer & Lisa Kudrow
This year, as movie goers, we’ve all been very spoiled with the release of the best anti-man movie ever, Sex and the City, starring man eaters, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall. Quickly followed by the movie with the music score that has seen us all embarresing ourselves on the dance floor (at some time in our lives), Abba’s Mamma Mia.
So it was only natural that we would be holding our breath, amidst media rumours that we would soon be treated to the big screen version of that little group of New Yorkers who inspired us to behave as though we had tourretes syndrome as we shreaked , ‘how yoooo doin’, and which sent every female on a mission to achieve the sleek hair styles fashions of the 3 female cast members, Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox and Lisa Kudrow.
But now, doom, gloom (and with the prospect of a democrat President), David Schwimmer has quashed all the rumours that have kept us clinging to life over the course of the boring election rhetoric…..there will be no Friends movie.
Speaking, in what seems a very unaffectionate manner about the series that made him a household name, Schwimmer tells Parade magazine, “I’d like to say in regard to the rumours, that I think are only perpetuated by the press, there’s never been any talk of a Friends film, at least as far as I know. The series is definitely not a part of my daily consciousness until either a fan comes up or I’m asked about it in some interview. It is like having a relative visit because it’s been more than four years since really we all were in the same room even.”
