For what seems like the longest pregnancy, even longer than Lisa Marie Presley and Angelina Jolie’s this year, Ashlee Simpson is finally teetering on the edge of exploding!

Even husband Pete Wentz has had his life put on hold and is standing by with car keys in hand and his feet firmly on the starting blocks.
Wentz, The fall Out Boy bass player told Ryan Seacrest this week, “She is very pregnant, I am on call permanently right now. She’s at the very end, and it could happen at any point.”

Wentz added, “I think she wants to just be not pregnant anymore, it’s a struggle to go up and down the stairs. Going out in public is insane.”

When asked about the choice of names for the new arrival, Pete very adultly replied, “I want to meet the baby first, my friend said, you’ve gotta have a baby with a name that could be a rock star or a senator, so he’ll get work either way.”

President Wentz,…..sounds okay!
