Hathaway’s role in Rachel Getting Married sees her playing sister Kym to Rosemarie Dewitt’s Rachel, the bride. Kym arrives at the family home as part of the wedding party and brings with her, her own style of black-comic one-liners and her knack for bombshell drama which causes long-simmering tensions in the family dynamic.

Earlier this year Anne completed filming on the set of Bride Wars with Kate Hudson which once again has Emma, played by Anne in close proximity to the alter when she and her best friend, Liv played by Kate become rivals as they schedule their respective weddings on the same day, thus competing in just about every way imaginable.

The movie is scheduled to reach theaters in early 2009.
