One year after her split with Australian born actor, Heath Ledger, and ten months after his death, his girlfriend Michelle Williams has taken the brave step of going public with her new relationship with indie director, Spike Jonze.

Michelle and Heath met on the set of Brokeback Mountain and together had one baby daughter, Matilda, in October 2005. But the relationship wasn’t to survive and the couple parted in September 2007.

Just four months later, Heath was found dead in his loft apartment in Manhattan.

But now Williams has come to terms with her daughter’s death and has moved on to find happiness with Spike, the director of her new movie, Synecdoch.
