Anne Hathaway’s e-boyfriend, Raffaello Follieri, is asking a court to sentence him to three years in prison, as opposed to the four years (or more!) he agreed to initially when he admitted he scammed the Catholic Church.
Follieri’s lawyer says he submitted papers to the court outlining the Italian businessman’s good intentions when he created a company to buy church property at cheap prices.

Unfortunately, the attorney went on to state, Follieri DID become “intoxicated with it all” after he found himself socializing with some of the world’s wealthiest and most successful people.

Poor Anne! It’s too bad one of America’s sweethearts had to be one of those people.  It doesn’t seem like it’s holding her back, though!
