On Friday Lindsay Lohan - who recently returned to sunny Los Angeles after frolicking on the beaches of Los Cabos with Samantha Ronson - swooped in and saved the DJ from having to sit through yet another mind-numbing court hearing which would have made Monday morning twice as unpleasant.

For those who have permanently blocked out the horror that was 2007, Ronson sued Perez Hilton for implying that she was the rightful owner of the cocaine discovered in LiLo’s vehicle after her May collision.

Quite a ballsy insinuation, but that’s Perez for ya!

In January of ‘08 a judge dismissed the case and ordered the singer-songwriter to shell out big bucks to take care of Hilton’s legal fees.

Sam hasn’t had the means to comply with the agreement, which brings us to Lindsay, who just finished signing a very large check for $86,832.
Sounds like it may be a small price to pay in Lohan’s eyes though, if her interview with Marie Claire is anything to go by.

“People can think what they want [about us],” she beamed. “I’m really happy and that’s all that matters.”
