Aww, does someone not handle constructive criticism well?
Kirsten “Kiki” Dunst threw a bit of a hissy fit on the set of her new film How to Lose Friends and Alienate People after the novelist behind the adaptation made a minuscule comment regarding her presentation.
Funny that, seeing as he created her character. How dare he have an opinion when it comes to how Dunst portrays the role of ‘Alison Olsen’!
It was during Toby Young’s second visit to the set that the actress got a tad hot under the collar:
“She overheard me giving the producer a note on her performance in a particular scene,” the British author relayed to The Spectator. “At the time, I didn’t think of it as a criticism, more as a helpful bit of advice, and the producer took it in that spirit. But Kirsten overheard this exchange and interpreted it as a complaint about her acting ability.”

Heaven forbid, right?
“It was after this, apparently, that she took Bob (Weide, the director) to one side and asked if I could be kept at arm’s length in the future,” he added. “Bob carried out this edict with a good deal of tact. I didn’t realize it, but this was, in effect, Bob carrying out Kirsten’s instructions.”
When did it become okay for young starlets to treat directors like personal assistants? Call me crazy, but isn’t it Weide’s job to order Kirsten around?
