Is Avril Lavigne Sexy or Not? Make Your Mind Up Malaysia!

After being banned from appearing in the predominantly Muslim country of Malaysia for reportedly being ‘too sexy’ Avril Lavigne has now been reprieved.

The poor girl must be in an awful whirl as to just whether or not she’s sexy!

Canadian singer Avril Lavigne’s concert promoters were told to postpone the up coming concert in Malaysia amid reports that she was considered too risqué by the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party.

But now the Islamic Party have rescinded their decision and the concert, in the capital, Kuala Lumpur, was given the go-ahead after the promoter, Galaxy Group, assured officials that the performance would not contain any objectionable elements.

On hearing the news Avril commented, “I’ve actually been approved by the government to play a show, I’ve already sold 10,000 tickets there, so I will be going to put a concert on for the fans.” Continuing, Avril spoke of her sexy image saying, “They tend to, you know, sometimes not want Western artists in their country. I respect that, but at the same time, you know, there’s people that listen to music there and want to see their idols and stuff, so it’s all good.”
Lavigne is not the first to have a brush with the conservative Malaysian government: Gwen Stefani was forced to cover up her famous midriff in Malaysia last year, and the Pussycat Dolls were fined in 2006 for violating Malaysia’s strict indecency codes.

Is Avril Lavigne so desperate to sell 10,000 little tickets that she’ll cow tow to a country dictating her fashion sense, music and general appearance?

Avril, make a stand, isn’t this is exactly what the troops are fighting against in Iraq and Afghanistan?
