Perhaps it’s fitting that someone who runs around as much as Jessica Simpson would be the poster child for Dallas’ Stampede Brewing Company’s Stampede Light Plus beer.
The label bills itself as “the beer for active people,” though we’re not sure any beer should brand itself as the next step down from a fitness energy drink. But we digress.
Simpson will appear in ads in stores for the beer and is taking a 15 percent stake in the brewer. Beyond this, specific details were not disclosed, but the president and chief executive of the company says Simpson is the now face of the brand.
Simpson said in a statement that as an entrepreneur she’s “always looking for ways to diversify my portfolio with good ideas and good people.”
