(Gwen keeps it in the family - with husband Gavin Rossdale; son Kingston)
Gwen Stefani launched her Love Angel Music Baby (L.A.M.B.) line two years ago at NYC fashion week, and she’s seen amazing success since then. Her label has been one of the few celebrity brands to find a success at the higher-end of the spectrum, and it has gained the respect of the fashion industry. Stefani says the biggest difference between her show this year on opening day and the first one was that she wasn’t searching everywhere at the last minute for accessories to go with her clothes. She fixed that problem: L.A.M.B. now makes its own accessories.

True to form, Stefani’s line also had some crazier patterns and styles - the majority catered to her younger, hip customers - showing off military-style jackets, pleated dressed, clunky heels, and the first item of the show - a yellow, black and green shoe called the Kingston.
Newsvine reports, “the show was the most highly stylized on a schedule that also saw spring previews from BCBG Max Azria and Nicole Miller, among others.”
Stefani says she’s proud her label made it alongside the likes of those designers. “We’re still learning, but we also have accomplished stuff that shocks me. I don’t want to brag, but I’m feel pretty proud of a lot of this,” Stefani told The Associated Press earlier this week.
And the audience didn’t argue. Her show received a standing ovation from the celebrity section, which included Eve, Sean Diddy Combs and actress Sophia Bush.
Some other celeb sightings:
- Jennifer Lopez debuted her J.Lo Spring line - complete with a crystal-studded runway.
- Nicky Hilton will debut her high-end line, Nicholai (which is actually her real name)
- Chloe Sevigny unveiled a small collection during the Opening Ceremony.
Of course celebs will also be in the front row - Julianne Moore is sitting in on the Lacoste show, Ashley Olsen should show up at Jenni Kayne and Mischa Barton may check out Alexander Wang. Anne Hathaway will tour some shows with her buddy Valentino (who announced this week that he’s retiring).

The Miss Sixty show drew quite a smattering of stars - Demi Moore, Clive Owen, Mischa Barton, and Maggie Gyllenhaal all made appearances.

And of course last night’s “Fashion Rocks” concert drew the biggest celeb-crowd - PopSugar.com reports:
“Poor Fergie looked a bit jet-lagged while Ashlee Simpson looked t-i-n-y in her hot tight gray dress. We can’t help but wonder though, where was her sister Jess who is currently in NYC? Jennifer Lopez looked tough but her performance later that evening looked more intense. Jessica Alba wore a dress that hit her in all the right spots but it was Nicole Richie who stole the spotlight with her growing belly and very flattering dress that showed off her new curves.”
Ah to be rich. famous, and fabulously dressed.
