Did Kirsten Dunst Lie about Rehab Reason??

“I didn’t go to Cirque Lodge for alcohol abuse or drug abuse. I went there for depression.” All Good Things starlet Kirsten Dunst is telling everyone and their uncle that her brief stay in rehab was prompted by a clear-cut case of the blues.

Though it’s more than likely true that she was not a happy camper, completely denying her former party-hardy attitude is a little hard to swallow.

We saw the pictures, we read the tidbits; she was definitely a full-blown wild child there for a while.

The people over at Defamer.com obviously share the same puzzlement, as they took it upon themselves to call her bluff by snagging a copy of the guidelines for the Utah-based center. According to them, “…no mention of specific plans aimed at those suffering simply from depression” were found.

After reading through the list of problems & treatments, they decided to phone Cirque Lodge to see if Kirsten was being truthful.

Here’s what an unnamed spokesperson told the news outlet:

“We address chemical dependency issues. We’re not at all a purely psychiatric facility like Bridges to Recovery, and each patient must undergo a detox for their chemical dependency, whether they’re coming off benzos, you know, cocktails in a pill, or harder substances. We do treat underlying issues, but if someone is suffering solely from chronic depression, we’re not the place to go.”

Ah HAH! And it’s interesting how the 26-year-old swore to E! Online that her “…doctor recommended Cirque Lodge.”

Why would a physician suggest staying at a clinic that deals with substance abuse if their patient were plagued by depression?

Either Dunst needs to find a new medicine man or she’s lying through her teeth.
