With no acting roles in the recent past or even looming either the immediate or distant future, Sharon Stone decide that instead of filling her mouth with well learned lines she would fill it with both feet.

This week, while on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival (the reason for her being there is not known as she is no longer a Hollywood hottie) Stone decided to comment on her interpretation as to just why the terrible humanitarian losses in the Chinese earthquake had occurred.

With all the diplomacy recently displayed by the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, she went straight in for the kill to tell reporters, All these earthquakes and stuff happened and I thought, ‘Is that karma?’ When you are not nice that bad things happen to you.”

She said she’s also been wondering how the United States should handle the Olympics because China is “not being nice to the Dalai Lama, who’s a good friend of mine.”

If that’s the case, Stone had better keep a very low profile as the gods above will be gunning for her for her role in Gloria and maybe soon we’ll be able to marvel at Miss Stone’s expert thoughts in the field of gun control and global warming.
