“Proper invites have not been sent out but instead guests have been given a save the date notice.” Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz, who have been happily engaged since April, are allegedly tying-the-knot this coming Saturday at a “top secret” spot.

According to a source associated with the couple, the festivities will kick off on Friday with an “intimate affair” rehearsal dinner for “family and close friends only.” And on the big day all those who are planning to attend “…will be transported in shuttles to the wedding location.”

Simpson’s rep refused to divulge much of anything when asked for tidbits by Usmagazine.com, she would only say that the ceremony “…is a private matter” and that there “…is nothing to confirm.” C’mon, give us somethin’!

Although the high-profile lovebirds act as if they have been attached at the hip since the dawn of time, surprisingly a new radio interview suggests otherwise. The singers visited the set of Star 98.7 on Tuesday morning where they discussed the very beginning of their relationship.

The Fall Out Boy heartthrob whined about the fact that his bride-to-be initially kept him “in the friend zone” for an entire year, and after they met he had to email Ashlee a picture of himself in order for her to remember him. Burn!

Fortunately their attraction skyrocketed, as Wentz disclosed a rather ample secret: “The first time we hung out she flashed me,” he grinned.

“I lifted my dress over my head for him,” Simpson affirmed. “So it was love at first sight.”  

Sounds like the foundation for a solid marriage, good luck guys!
