The saddest piece of news to reach our ears for a long time. Anderson Cooper, the handsome silver haired anchor of CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 is rumored to be eyeing up the seat left empty by Katie Couric’s exit from CBS.

In what would appear to be an exchange, Katie is also rumored to be lined up to replace the aging Larry King, now 74, at CNN.

Lets hope it’s all rumour and speculation and that Anderson, the 40 year old son of Gloria Vanderbilt, continues to brighten up, the otherwise dismal daily news, on a nightly basis at CNN.
