Seeing an ex out and about with a new flame is always a little awkward, for Ryan Phillippe “it’s bizarre.”

On Wednesday morning the Flags of Our Fathers star sat down with USA Today to discuss his take on Reese Witherspoon’s impassioned relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal: “There are plenty of times when I say, ‘What a strange situation I’ve found myself in,’” the 33-year-old explained. “But at a certain point you know it’s going to happen, so you are prepared.”

When pressed about his own romantic affairs, Ryan simply stated - “It’s just something I would really rather not address. It has to be a ‘no comment.’” Aww, c’mon!

Although his divorce from Witherspoon was absolutely devastating, the actor affirms that it hasn’t turned him off to marriage completely: � “I can see doing it again, yeah,” Phillippe revealed. “And I can certainly see possibly having children again. I’m pretty young, and there are many beautiful things about that idea of marriage and family. It just doesn’t always work out perfect for everybody.”

Could we love this guy anymore?? What a sweetie. �
