Its something we don’t see much these days with the Hollywood brat pack. But Nicole Richie may just be the poster child for ‘kids gone bad’ making their way back to a decent life.

Speaking about his daughter on the Ryan Seacrest morning show, Lionel Richie seemed like he was ‘dancing on the ceiling’ and ecstatically pleased that Nicole had turned her life around and at the same time had introduced a new boyfriend and more importantly a new little lady into his life. Baby Harlow.

With the arrival of Nicole’s baby, Harlow, came the turn around in her life and now the one time bad girl, who was once arrested on a DUI charge, has moved successfully on with her life.

Lionel also waxed poetic about what is expected to be his future son-in-law Joel Madden saying, “This guy is so in tune with Nicole, I love him to death. I couldn’t ask for a better guy! If there is a matrimony down the line, you’ll know it first ‘cuz I’ll be telling everybody!”

Of daughter Nicole, Lionel said that her passion for hitting the Hollywood hotspots and ‘running with the night’ has waned considerably and her whole life is dedicated to raising baby Harlow.
