“Jessica Simpson & Tony Romo’s Unshakeable Romance”

Aspiring country singer Jessica Simpson stepped out on the town Saturday night with her quarterback steady Tony Romo.

The lovebirds of four months decided to mix it up by venturing on a double-date with Simpson’s previous assistant CaCee Cobb and her Scrubs star boyfriend Donald Faison - who plays “Turk” on the NBC sitcom.

The enthusiastic bunch selected club Villa as their party destination. The swanky up-and-coming joint recently catered to new couple Paris Hilton & Benji Madden. And on the evening before the Oscars, Sean Penn was caught sneaking into the hotspot with rumored girlfriend Petra Nemcova. Must be one hell of a place!

A club-hopper, who just happened to be in the right place at the right time, relayed the following Simpson/Romo details to People: “They requested really fun, ‘Sweet Home Alabama’-type things that everybody knows. They were singing and dancing on the banquettes, really high energy. Jess and Tony were really affectionate, hugging and kissing. They’re really sweet with each other.”

After parting ways with Cobb and Faison - who in the past has called Romo a “great guy” – Jessica and her Dallas Cowboy continued the evening at Teddy’s.

The 27-year-olds appeared “insanely happy together,” a bystander stated. “Lots of laughing and cuddling up” was involved.

Just how serious are they? Allegedly, according to Us Weekly, the two are on the cusp of considering an engagement! “I think they’re going to get married,” a friend of Romo’s revealed.

The stars’ former flames are speaking up as well. Actress Sophia Bush, who once dated Tony, said “I think they could go the distance. They’re perfect for each other. They’re both funny and wonderful and kind. I’m rooting for them.”

Remember ex-hubby Nick Lachey? He had the following kind words for his one-time wife: “I wish her nothing but happiness. If she’s found that…good for her.”

Sounds like Ms. Simpson and Mr. Romo will be our will-they-won’t-they couple of the summer. Stay tuned for all the latest news!
