Mischa Barton, who jumped to the top of the celebrity DUI list last year, was beside herself on Wednesday morning after getting slapped with four criminal counts stemming from her arrest.
Accesshollywood.com reports that the OC alumna was holed up in the Los Angeles Superior Court as district attorneys filed charges that included…
- One misdemeanor count of driving with a blood alcohol level of 0.08% or higher
- One count of being an unlicensed driver
- One misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- One count of possession of marijuana, 28.5 grams or less
According to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, on December 26th Barton’s vehicle was escorted to the side of the road after deputies witnessed the actress “straddling two lanes of traffic” on top of failing to signal when making a turn. Upon her detainment, they realized that she was driving without a valid California license and that she was clearly worse for wear. Mischa was arrested and taken to the West Hollywood Sheriff’s station without incident.
A court date to further exam the matter has been set for February 28th .
Perhaps after all is said and done Miss Barton will HIRE A DRIVER? Or at least think twice before getting behind the wheel with a few dozen shots under her belt.
