Her costar - Aaron Eckhart - skyrocketed to fame after playing Julia Roberts’ main squeeze in Erin Brokovich. The charming 39-year-old bachelor equipped with blonde locks and classically handsome features may be exactly what Ms. Aniston has been searching for.

The Daily Mail recently caught wind of an interesting tidbit involving the actor’s personal request to cast Aniston as the heroine. Apparently Eckhart split from his longtime significant other Ashley Wicks just before agreeing to the project; talk about out-with-the-old & in-with-the-new!

An insider working on the production relayed the following juicy details: “They’re getting along so great that everyone on the set is gossiping about something more going on between them. They’re just so in sync all the time. And Jen’s entire reason for doing this movie was Aaron. She wanted to work with him for years and was completely flattered that she was his first choice to be the leading lady in this movie.”

“It’s going to be a real change of pace for Jen, who has focused exclusively on making romantic comedies,” the source continued. “This is more of a quirky romantic drama with lots of intense scenes opposite Aaron. They’re in almost every scene together.” Perfect set-up for a budding courtship, eh?

“I think the fact that both of them have been single for a couple of months is contributing to the chemistry they have on this film, even when they aren’t shooting. They genuinely enjoy each other’s company.”
