Heath Ledger in happier times with daughter Matilda.
Although the press and the paparazzi have already begun their cruel speculation on the death of Australian born actor, Heath Ledger, following his death at his Lower Manhattan loft apartment on Tuesday, his friends in the movie business have nothing but praise for the man who rejected the limelight.
Mel Gibson said “I had such great hope for him. He was just taking off, and to lose his life at such a young age is a tragic loss.” Heath played Mel’s son in The Patriot.
Hairspray actor John Travolta said that Hollywood is also mourning the actor’s death and that Heath was, “one of my favourite actors,” adding, “His abilities are rare.”
Nicole Kidman revealed her feelings on the death of fellow Aussie saying it has left her “brokenhearted.”
The 28 year old star of Brokeback Mountain and the Joker in the new Batman movie had an untimely and sad demise and this should remain private for now, to show respect for both Heath, his family and his grieving fans.
So far the New York coroner’s office has revealed that the reason for his death and tests on his body are inconclusive and probably will remain that way for at least another 10 days.
Let Heath rest in peace, at least until we know the truth. Let’s not turn it into a repeat of Anna Nicole Smith’s death last February.

It makes me sad to see people talking crap all ready about his suppose drug overdose. No one knows what happened. They are doing the same thing the did with Anna Nicole Smith and only thing is going to come of it is a tainted name and that girl won’t know what’s a lie or what’s the truth.
