Could it be possible that we may actually not get to watch the creme de la creme of Hollywood elite congratulate each other for being so darn special? All thanks to a bunch of pesky writers who actually think they should get PAID for their work?

Unless someone comes up with a solution at the 11th hour, it’s hard to imagine any of the high-wattage nominees crossing an actual picket line in their most glamorous finery. That’s just such a party foul.

Thus is the dilemma facing this year’s Golden Globes nominees, including Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp, George Clooney, Keira Knightley and Tom Hanks, and a bunch of Aussies including Cate Blanchett, Rachel Griffiths, and Rose Byrne.

But if there are no Golden Globes, who will be the real loser of the night?

Why Rumer Willis of course! Word is she’s been shopping for just the right thing to wear for her role as Miss Golden Globe 2008. Too bad no one’s going to see her in it…
