Katherine Heigl is dissin’ the Hollywood blockbuster that turned her from TV actor to bonafide movie star.
The Grey’s Anatomy star said her summer hit Knocked Up was “a little sexist.”
“It paints the women as shrews, as humorless and uptight, and it paints the men as goofy, fun-loving guys,” the actress told January’s Vanity Fair.
“It was hard for me to love the movie,” she continued.
Heigl came out against the film even though the comedy elevated her asking price from $300,000 to $6 million.
Heigl also talks about being tired of playing TV doctor, Izzie Stephens, who seems doomed to have one bad relationship after another on the ABC drama-dy.
Currently, her character is embroiled with her married best friend George (TR Knight), and the characters just can’t seem to have good sex.
“It was a ratings ploy,” she says. “I’m trying to figure her out and keep her real.”
